COUNSELLING SERVICES, GLASGOW

“Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyse you,
they’re supposed to help you
discover who you are.”
Bernice Johnson Reagan
People often come for counselling when they feel they are in crisis and find it difficult to see a way forward. Feelings of being trapped and unable to communicate are commonplace.
In my experience this can also be a time of movement and greater understanding. Together, in the course of the therapy, we can explore these possibilities for change in a supportive and confidential environment.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work under the BACP code of ethics.
As well as being fully accredited by Relationships Scotland (formerly known as Relate Scotland), I am also qualified in training and personal development and a tutor on the Relationships Scotland diploma course. I am also a qualified CBT therapist (The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (N.I.C.E.) recommends CBT as a treatment for Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, Acute Stress and Post Traumatic Stress).
I undertake regular clinical supervision as required by the BACP. I have regular and continuous professional development in relevant areas to keep my knowledge as up to date as possible.
I am also a trained counsellor in emotional eating.
